A Holiday Reminder From Promenite Studios!
Dember 2, 2009
We at Promenite Studios would like to take this time to talk about the upcoming holiday and gift-giving seasons for a lot of people out there.

Perhaps one of the best game-related gifts you can give someone this season may be something you can play together, like Poid which tries to bridge the generation gap by introducing some old and new gaming concepts together in one neat package for the iPhone and/or iPod Touch.

Poid’s the kind of game you can sit on a table while you’re out with friends or family eating somewhere or maybe you’re sitting around by the fireplace enjoying some hot cocoa with a friend of loved one and you feel like doing something fun to pass the time.

It’s not the most complicated game in the universe, obviously, but that’s what makes it fun for those situations. It’s easy to pull your iPhone or iPod Touch out of your pocket, tap the Poid icon and you’re ready to go!

That’s what makes the iPhone/iPod Touch so great as a portable gaming device. Not only is it convenient but it also allows for multiple user inputs on the screen simultaneously so you can play a two player game by just placing your index fingers on opposite sides of the screen. It’s also easy enough for a young child or even a toddler to figure out and play along with you.

We also understand that in these hard economic times gift-giving isn’t always easy. Thankfully little things like Poid are just $0.99 (you probably have that kind of money in between your couch cushions) so they’re easily affordable and can mean a lot to someone even if they’re just a stocking stuffer.

So that being said, when you think about something to get that special iPhone/iPod Touch user in your life – or maybe just yourself – think about Poid.

Granted, Cortexatron is awesome too…

As an additional gift to you, aside from low-priced iPhone games, we’ve put up some free desktop backgrounds in our Media section for you to enjoy. We’re also working on making some holiday-themed ones here, shortly.

We hope you remember us this season! Try to stay on the Nice List, while you’re at it.

Welcome to Promenite Studios.
Dember 1, 2009
Though it seems rather campy to say it, hello and welcome to the official website of Promenite Studios – an international video game design and multimedia company located in Jacksonville, Florida.

Our mission statement is to provide the absolute finest in entertainment and to produce games which do not already exist in the marketplace today. We do so rapidly by emphasizing digital distribution so that we release simultaneously world-wide all of our titles. This means we’ll mainly be releasing through market’s like the iTunes App store for iPhone and iPod Touch as well as through Xbox-Live, Steam, WiiWare and maybe even the Playstation Network Store.

Though we are mostly based in Jacksonville, Florida we have dedicated developers and artists located all across the world who are all passionate about providing ridiculously fun titles for the world to enjoy. In many ways we are an internet-based company. This means we can continue to operate out of Florida while still staying in touch with many of our friends in development in California, Texas, France, and Washington State just to name a few. Some of us are industry veterans while others are starting their careers in game design for the first time through us.

Our games cater to both the casual and hardcore markets, trying to bridge the gap between generations while also remaining flexible in terms of our creativity. At the end of the day it all comes down to this: We want to make the games which we, ourselves, really want to play.

Having said that, we strongly suggest you sign up for our forum so you can provide us with your own thoughts and feedback about the types of games which you’d like to see us release onto the market.

Today marks the first day of the rest of our life as a company. This is both exciting for all of us and equally terrifying. We hope that you will continue to subscribe to and read our blog, and/or follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube. We hope to put a human face on our company in the coming weeks so that you can better understand where we all are coming from as developers.

Until then, we wish you all the best and we hope you enjoy the titles we have been working for months on.
